Via Tender: timeline (only) not loaded

Assigned to Tender discussion #110. This is caused because status doesn't have all the correct user data.
I think we should make the templating functions catch exceptions and return a blank string if something like this happens. that way the entire timeline doesn't die.

Hey,
I told @spaz on twitter yesterday about the problem. after starting Spaz, all the tabs work except the main timeline. it starts loading but nothing appears after that.the debug log is attached
