  The textarea popup could definitely use some compacting, but it'll be tough coming up with icons for some of those buttons. Might need to get creative with button texts/layouts instead.

  As for the buttons at the top, I actually like that we use text, because (1) there's already a row of icons above them, so adding a second row feels visually noisy; and (2) it forces us to only include controls that are essential, not cram in every possible feature.

  As we talked about, we already have a row of icon buttons/tabs at the top, and converting the dark buttons to icons would make that area look far too busy.

  As for the textarea popup, I can't think of any effective icons, but I did create a "Shorten" menu to merge the "Shorten Text" and "Shorten URLs" buttons. This leaves us space for an "Add image" button, or maybe even an "Attach" menu ("Attach image", "Attach current location", etc.).

  In the interest of making space for a wider filter/search input, I backpedaled here and changed the Refresh buttons from text to icons.

  I didn't convert all of the buttons to icons because that'll really make the window header look cluttered. Also, unlike the Mark, Saved, and Trends buttons, the Refresh icon is extremely recognizable.
