Via Tender: Runaway memory usage
Reported by Ed Finkler | February 1st, 2010 @ 07:14 PM | in 0.8.5
Assigned to Tender issue #58. This is almost certainly because of the way we examine the file to try to retrieve the title tag contents. We need to come up with a better way, probably routing it through a service on api.getspaz.com.
As reported in Tender:
With this URL (which leads to an m4v file) in my timeline:

Spaz's memory usage would climb rapidly to 250mb and beyond. Once, it was over 500mb. I didn't keep it open long enough to see if it ever stopped.
This happened with Spaz 0.8.4, on AIR 1.5.3.9120.
